Parents—School Packets will be passed out Monday along with the week’s meals.  If your meals are being delivered to you home, your packets will be with the meals.  Keep up with messages on Facebook for more updates and instructions.

From the Office of Bokoshe Public School Superintendent

March 25, 2020

This morning, the state Board of Education voted to follow state schools Superintendent Joy Hofmeister’s recommendation to close school buildings for the remainder of the school year and resume the school year on April 6 with remote learning.

Remote learning does not necessarily mean online or technology based. The teachers at Bokoshe will be meeting next week to devise a plan that will work for every student. We will give everyone more details next week about how this will work.

All activities and events have been cancelled. This includes all sports and practices, prom, school trips and other such activities. We are trying to devise a way of having our Senior Graduation, knowing we cannot meet in a group of 10 or more in one location.

Our cafeteria will be providing five days of breakfast and lunch starting Monday, March 30 and will continue on every Monday from now until May 11.  These meals can be picked up behind the cafeteria or at your bus stop between 11:30 and 12:30. Some of the food will be frozen and/or perishable; please make plans accordingly. If you want to pick it up at your bus stop, you must be at the bus stop at the time of delivery. Please remember that Mondays will be the only day that food will be available.

I know that these are difficult and tough times for everyone. It’s a joy to work with everyone so that we can get through this together. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the school at (918) 969-2491. Thank you for your patience.
